AMASIA ENTERTAINMENT’S STORY

Founded by Michael Helfant and Bradley Gallo, Amasia Entertainment is a Los Angeles-based production company creating quality content across the drama, action, animated, documentary, comedy, horror, romance, thriller, and children’s entertainment genres. Emphasizing films and TV featuring compelling stories, emerging filmmakers, social impact themes, and those with franchise potential, Amasia provides multimedia entertainment services from soup to nuts, working with filmmakers to develop and produce projects for motion pictures, television, and the internet. Amasia remains heavily involved throughout the post-production process and takes a hands-on approach while distributing films through third parties and negotiating terms of distribution.

With Amasia, Bradley has produced several films. The most recent of these include the Tribeca X Best Feature winner AUDREY'S CHILDREN, a biopic about groundbreaking oncologist and Ronald McDonald House Charities co-founder Dr. Audrey Evans, starring Natalie Dormer, Jimmi Simpson, and Clancy Brown, directed by Ami Canaan Mann; and the upcoming WORLDBREAKER, starring Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich, directed by Brad Anderson. Previously, Bradley and Amasia produced John Patrick Shanley’s WILD MOUNTAIN THYME starring Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm, and Christopher Walken; the Sundance and SXSW selection THEM THAT FOLLOW starring Olivia Colman, Kaitlyn Dever, Alice Englert, Jim Gaffigan, Walton Goggins, Thomas Mann, and Lewis Pullman; MR. RIGHT starring Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick, directed by Paco Cabezas; and THE CALL starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin.

On the development side, Bradley and Amasia are the custodians of several legendary properties including THE GREEN HORNET AND KATO, set up at Universal as a tentpole franchise; DARK SHADOWS, the wildly popular gothic soap series created by Dan Curtis; THE COMPLETE IDIOT’S GUIDE reference books; and LITTLE CRITTER, the intergenerationally beloved children’s book series created by Mercer Mayer; and the upcoming WORLDBREAKER, starring Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich, directed by Brad Anderson.
